Students in Room 22 participated in a school production entitled "Journey". Every class in the school choreographed and performed a dance with a cultural theme. We chose to to do a dance to music by Patea Maori Club called "Aku Raukura". The underlying theme was to perform as modern day warriors, with a link to the movie "Boy". Our dance started in 'fight' mode with Chris, Raymond, Fa'afili and Mak challenging the audience with Pukana. We moved into using a mix of dance movements including:Nana Dance
Funky Chicken
Thriller
Rock N Roll
Disco
Hip Hop
We all enjoyed performing the dance, and our students excelled themselves showing impressive synchronicity and performance faces! Ka Rawe Room 22!
